Growing up in the epicenter of hip-hop, Liam Tracy’s dynamic music is a product of his New York adolescence coupled with a unique perspective on the world. Liam Tracy is a creative risk taker — never settling for the status-quo, always pushing the musical envelope.

Adhering to hip-hop’s stylistically-fluid direction, Liam Tracy laces a medley of ambient and traditional instrumentals with a hybrid rapping – singing approach. As a student of the game, Liam seamlessly switches on a dime between Golden Age-styled spitting and a more modern vocal aesthetic. His catalogue is a rich mosaic that finds Liam cathartically exploring a range of topics — from depending on vices to illuminating life’s pain — in the name of imparting music that resonates.

This musical journey has culminated in Liam’s Drug & Alcohol mixtape trilogy, a collection of standout singles (including 2019’s “Owee Ohh”), a track on  A3C Volume 5 (“I Just Might”, 2015), appearing on The Smoker’s Club Tour, landing a coveted spot on the 8th Annual SXSW Takeover alongside Kevin Gates, Wale, DJ Drama, among other undertakings — and he’s only scratched the surface of his potential. The best from Liam Tracy has yet to come.

In 2020, Liam delivered two standout singles: “Demons” and “Heartless” (prod. by Statik Selektah). After delivering his debut 2021 single, “Goin Up,” Liam’s returned with his latest track, “Step It Up.”

The somber guitar-dominated production sets the tone for Liam’s honest offering. “Step It Up” is an allegory of renewed perspective: while the Drugs & Alcohol artist has dealt with endless nights of despair whispering in his ears, Liam Tracy, through experience and growing optimism, feels fortunate to be alive. The adversity doesn’t define the man, the man is defined by how he responds to the adversity. Liam encourages those submerged in existential dread to leverage those traumas for growth, to not succumb to negativity. He knows that darkness informs the light; his light has never shined brighter.
